Terms of Service

Effective 2026-09-23 · Applies to Sewer Scope Report and any other ScopeRecord product you use.

Plain-language version first: you own your reports, one license covers one inspector, drafts must be reviewed by you before you deliver them, we bill through Gumroad, annual plans are refundable for 30 days, and we are not a substitute for PACP certification. The rest of this page is the same thing in more precise words.

1. Who you are agreeing with

This agreement is between you (the inspector or business using the service) and the operator of this website, doing business as ScopeRecord ("ScopeRecord", "we"). By creating an account, starting a trial or activating a license, you accept these terms. If you are agreeing on behalf of a business, you confirm you may do so. Our support address, support@scoperecord.com, is the reliable way to reach the contracting party.

2. What the service is — and what it is not

3. Your account and license

4. Your content

5. Acceptable use

Do not use the service to:

We may suspend an account that does any of the above, and will tell you why.

6. Payment, trial and refunds

7. Availability and changes

8. AI-drafted wording needs your review

Prose produced by the service is a draft. Language models can state things that are wrong or imprecise. Fixed rules assign codes, severity and the condition grade, but you must read the wording, correct anything that misstates what you saw, and only then sign and deliver the report. The service includes an issue check for exactly this purpose; use it.

9. Disclaimers and limits of liability

10. Ending the agreement

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms; the effective date at the top will change and material changes will be emailed to account holders before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the updated terms.

12. Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws applicable at our principal place of business, and disputes will be handled by the courts there. Nothing in this section removes any right you have under mandatory consumer protection law where you live, and nothing here prevents either of us from resolving a dispute in the courts that would otherwise have jurisdiction.

Questions about these terms: support@scoperecord.com.
