Sample sewer scope report
This is the real output of the generator, not a mock-up: a 92 ft lateral with a root mass at 66 ft, a ¾ in offset joint at 11 ft, heavy scale in the cast iron run, crown corrosion at 74 ft and a belly holding standing water at 78 ft. Every finding carries the distance the camera recorded it at, a PACP-style code, a severity level, and the pipe gets a 1–5 condition grade.
What the deliverable contains
- Report number on every page and a footer line with the client address, inspection date, inspector and license number.
- Scope, equipment & limitations table — pipe diameter, materials in order from the entry, camera used, flow test, and exactly which sections were not inspected (here: the last stretch and the city tap, because the camera could not pass the root mass at 88 ft).
- Coded findings with distances:
M-Rroot intrusion 66 ft,M-SCscale 41 ft,S-DFcrown corrosion 74 ft,M-Wstanding water 78 ft,S-OJoffset joint 11 ft. - Severity and a 1–5 pipe condition grade, derived from the worst finding (structural defects count double). This run grades 4 — Poor.
- Evidence photos, captioned with the distance they were taken at, embedded in the file.
- Prioritized recommendations — the most urgent action first, with the trade and the timing.
- Signature block for the inspector of record and the client acknowledgment.
Where the codes come from
Codes and severities are assigned by fixed rules, not by the language model, so the same defect always gets the same code and the same grade. The full list — 20 codes, split into structural (S-) and operation & maintenance (M-), with the severity thresholds — is published here: sewer defect codes & the 1–5 pipe condition grade.
The same inspection, nine deliverables
One report, and you choose the packet the reader needs: a one-page buyer summary, a municipal compliance form, a PACP-style segment report, an insurance-claim narrative. Click any sample to enlarge.
Frequently asked
Is this a real inspection?
It is a real report produced by the software from a worked example: a genuine 92 ft run with the defects listed above, from the field notes through the coded findings and the grade. The PDF is watermarked SAMPLE so it can never be mistaken for an inspection of a specific property.
Do the codes match PACP?
The shorthand is PACP-style (M- for operation & maintenance, S- for structural) and the pipe gets a 1–5 condition grade. Formal PACP deliverables for a municipality still require a PACP-certified inspector; the code list page shows exactly what is assigned and when.
Can I use this as a template for my own reports?
Yes — start the free trial and generate your own from your field notes. The trial is 7 days, up to 20 reports a day, no credit card. Start here.
