1. What this policy covers

Sewer Scope Report Generator ("the Service") helps licensed inspectors draft sewer-scope inspection reports. This policy explains what we collect, how it is used, and how to delete it.

2. What we collect

• Account data: your email address and a securely hashed password (passwords are never stored in plain text).
• Report content: the job details you enter (report number, address, pipe and equipment details, scope & limitations), the field notes you type or dictate, and the report draft generated from them.
• Evidence images: the photos you upload and the frames you capture from a video. These are converted to JPEG and stored with the report so they can be embedded in the PDF.
• Usage data: basic counters (for example, reports generated today) used to enforce the free trial and fair-use limits.

3. What is sent to third parties

• AI provider (DeepSeek): your field notes text and the job details you type are sent to draft the report wording. Please do not paste SSNs, bank or card numbers, or other sensitive personal data into the notes.
• Payments (Gumroad): if you subscribe, Gumroad processes the payment as the merchant of record and issues your license key. We never see or store your card details.
• Hosting: the Service runs on a third-party cloud host; your data is stored on that infrastructure.

4. What we do NOT do

• We do not sell your data.
• We do not use your reports, notes or photos to train AI models.
• We do not share your data with other inspectors, advertisers or data brokers.

5. The original video

The original video file stays on your device — only the individual frames you choose are uploaded. We recommend keeping the original footage until the report is accepted, since it is your evidence.

6. Retention and deletion

Reports and evidence images are kept in your account until you delete the report or ask us to delete your account. To request deletion of your account and all associated data, email support@homeddns.com.

7. Local storage

The app stores a sign-in token, a device identifier (used to prevent free-trial abuse), your last-used form draft, and your branding settings in your browser's local storage. Clearing your browser storage signs you out and resets those settings.

8. Security

Passwords are hashed with scrypt. Sign-in sessions expire after 30 days. A report and its images can only be read by the account that owns them. No system is perfectly secure — please use a strong, unique password.

9. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a material way, we will update the date at the top of this page.
